So around 3 years ago, I started playing around with Daz Studio (4.6 then) since I kept seeing these advertisements that the program itself and Victoria 4 were being offered for free. At that time, there was another artist here on dA who was recreating Tekken characters out of V4 and morphs, so that inspired me to do the same. I picked Lili in her bikini because I was messing around with her in what was a newly-released Tekken Revolution, plus you gotta admit she's easy on the eyes! After buying a few models and putting her together, I attempted to render her using Uber environment and the recommended lights, etc. However, I wasn't happy with any of the results. I kept reading about Reality and Octane and contemplated delving into either of them though I felt like they were quite an investment especially for somebody who just started using Daz Studio. I was afraid I'd spend all this money getting these additional tools but not quite achieve the results I want.
Fast forward 2 years, Daz Studio 4.7 (or is that 4.8) came out with the Nvidia IRay rendering solution and it looked like something I was looking for. The renders from the "pros" who started using it looked comparable to results from Reality and Octane, plus it's built into Daz, plus it's got 3D acceleration, and most of all, it's free. After a little while, I decided to dust off the scene I created for Lili, played around with the settings, and achieved the results above after countless hours of trial and error.
I hope you guys like the result.
